Hi girls,

Today I caught up with my cousin whom I haven't seen for a while. We got talking about Paris I mentioned that I would love to go there, she has been there but said if I need some-one to go with she would be happy to go with me.
Excitement + Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy Very Happy .

The reality set in when I came home and mentioned it to my DH, "yeh where are you going to get the money for that"? That brought me back to reality very quickly Sad Sad Sad Sad Sad Sad Sad Sad Sad Sad Sad Sad Sad Sad Sad Sad .

Our time limit was in the next 2 years, so I am turning to you girls to help me come up with ideas to save my little (yeh ok it's not that little) but off.

Open to all suggestions Question Question Question

Having a money box is a good start. We have one for Xmas and whether we have change in our wallets, we put it in the money box. It's surprising how much that can add up to. We've averaged between $500 and $800 per year from ours and my DH is the main contributor, so it's achievable.

How exciting. I have been there a couple of times and loved it each time.

The next time you buy something - think very hard whether you want the item you are about to purchase or whether you would prefer to go to Paris. Then use Chantal's money box idea and start putting your would be purchase money in there. Obviously don't skimp on things you need - but more for those just because purchases we all make from time to time. They can add up very quickly.

If you buy your lunches or drinks, etc when you are out - next time take your home made food with you. This is something which can add up very quickly as well.
